- Varied test materials — wood, sponges, brushes, feathers, black velvet, dead leaves
- 24-colour cards, portraits and pigments for colour-reproduction evaluation
- Text elements (banknotes, labels) and a wedge chart for resolution assessment
- Combines objective data with hands-on analysis from experienced reviewers
The YE0688 Real Scene Test Chart is a subjective test chart based on the reviewer’s personal impressions — it lets you build a realistic test scene, photograph it with a camera, and then subjectively judge the camera’s performance across multiple aspects from the resulting photos.
The YE0688 set includes a range of differently textured materials — various wood grains, sponges, brushes, feathers, black velvet and dead leaves — that let you analyse how a lens renders material texture. Coloured pens, pigment tubes, 24-colour cards and portraits allow evaluation of colour reproduction, while text on banknotes and paint-tube labels, plus a wedge chart, are used to analyse resolution.
Key features
- Material texture — wooden blocks, carving tools, sponges, feathers, velvet and dead leaves for evaluating detail and texture reproduction
- Colour reproduction — coloured pens, crayons, pigments, a 24-colour card and a skin-tone chart for evaluating colour fidelity and portraits
- Resolution and text — banknotes, paint-tube labels and a wedge chart for assessing maximum lens resolution
- Metals and contrast — a stainless-steel cup and clip for evaluating metal rendering, and a pure black board for analysing low-to-mid contrast and noise
- Evaluation methodology — combines objective measurement data with hands-on visual analysis from experienced reviewers
Applications
The YE0688 is used for subjective, visual image-quality evaluation of cameras, lenses and vision systems — assessing texture, colour, resolution and contrast reproduction under conditions close to real-world use.
