YT8200 Coating Thickness Gauge

Economical coating thickness gauge with a split iron-based (Fe) probe — measures non-magnetic coatings on ferrous substrates by the magnetic method, 0–2,000 µm range.

  • Split iron-based (Fe) probe for measuring non-magnetic coatings on ferrous substrates
  • Magnetic-induction principle, 0–2,000 µm measurement range
  • Four measurement modes — basic, quality control, continuous, statistical
  • Compliant with ISO 2178, ISO 2360, ASTM B499 — non-destructive testing

The YT8200 is an economical coating thickness gauge from 3nh with a split iron-based (Fe) probe, built for fast, accurate coating-thickness measurement of non-magnetic coatings on ferromagnetic substrates using the magnetic-induction principle. The probe measures coatings such as paint, powder coating, porcelain, chrome, copper or zinc applied to steel and other magnetic substrates.

The instrument delivers accurate measurement across a wide range, multiple calibration and measurement modes, and convenient probe positioning, making it a basic piece of coating-inspection equipment for manufacturing, metal processing and the chemical industry. Testing is non-destructive and does not damage the sample.
